I think that as a teenager, I can help Singapore by believing in our National leaders.
I must not take what what have been able to enjoy in Singapore for granted.
If a national crisis happens, we must all remain calm and work together as one to overcome such a crisis. Our national leaders alone can’t defend us all the time. We need to be vigilant and work together as one.

Zhi Sheng's Reflection
As a Singaporean teenager, I believe that the most basic, but at the same time most important way to support our national leaders is to trust them. Since we are still considered young, we are unable to do much in deciding who leads us, and how we are leaded, mainly due to the fact that most of us have not reached the permitted age for voting in Singapore. However, we can still do our part by believing in them and giving them a chance to prove themselves. It is impossible for a person to lead a country without supporters, or people behind them, no matter how great he/ she is.
As for the advice I would like to give to my peers who are taking Singapore’s peace and success for granted, I hope that they will know that what we have now is not something we are blessed with, but something we have earned. Our peace comes from friendly ties with other countries, and our success comes from every citizen’s hard work. If something is earned, it means it can also be lost. You will never know when a terrorist attack will strike, a natural disaster will destroy our homes and a war breaking out.

Ying Zhi's Reflection
I think that as a teenager, I can help Singapore be a better country by supporting our National leaders like our President Mr Nathan, MM Mr Lee Kuan Yew, SM Mr Goh Chok Tong and Prime Minister Mr Lee Hsien Loong.
I must be a good and hardworking student, always open to ideas and take an interest to whats happening within Singapore and our neigbouring countries. I must not depend on our leaders to take the lead for us and to pay for our needs. I must not take what the national leaders have done to make Singapore what it is today; a safe place, and not take them for granted.
I must not be complacent and be prepared for any undesirable things to happen to Singapore.
If such a crisis really happens, we must all stay calm and work together with our national leaders to overcome such a crisis. Our national leaders alone can’t defend us all the time. We need to be vigilant and work together as one.
